The Road to Graduation Begins
With this week’s stripe testing in full swing, we are seeing students step up to the challenge and perform their forms solo with precision and intensity. This is a remarkable feat, especially considering we are now only a little over a month away from our June 20th Graduation.
Also, the attendance challenge was a smashing success, and it looks like we have drawn some very lucky winners just in time for the Victoria Day holiday weekend. Keep in mind that classes are running as usual this weekend, and we will be open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, closing only for the holiday on Monday. We encourage everyone to get their classes in and take advantage of the extra training opportunities so you can be off to a great start as our Grad Demos begin next weekend.
We also have a few exciting announcements coming up:
- Kids Night Out will take place on Saturday, May 23rd
- PA Day Camp will run on Friday, June 5th, as the kids are off school.
These will be the final two special events of the school year, so be sure to reserve your spots early!
As for the weather, we’ve had a few on-and-off days of sunshine, and fortunately, we have not yet seen the dreaded “Slumpatitis” hit the dojo. This yearly phenomenon can affect even the most motivated students, challenging their focus with distractions like bike riding, pool time, friends, and extra social activities. While all of those things are important and enjoyable, they should never become an excuse to derail your training or distract you from your goal of Black Belt Excellence.
With next week upon us, let’s all take a moment to re-evaluate our goals leading up to the June 20th Graduation and really buckle down to make it happen. We are excited to see our instructors perform once again, and we know that with a little extra effort and determination, we will make this another incredible Black Belt spectacle.
Keep up the great work and continue your quest to be your best!
