Set your Aim, Do your Best, Stay the Course, Embrace Success
This past Saturday, First Choice Martial Arts hosted its September karate graduation at Hamilton District Christian High School, with one graduation scheduled for 6 PM. It was an exceptional turnout, and I don't think we've ever seen such an energetic crowd.
We began the event with some of our younger students and introduced some of our new Black Belts, who had completed their belt exams earlier that day. These students showed tremendous heart and determination, and despite the challenge, they still attended the evening celebration to accept the honour of their new achievement.
As the event progressed, each routine grew stronger and more impressive with every performance. From the Dragons to the Kids, the Teens, and even the Tiny Tiger, Oakland, all managed to wow the crowd. At one point, Sensei Rupert hilariously attempted to take on Vanessa during a fun self-defense demonstration, in which Vanessa successfully handled Sensei Rupert in a comical way.
The graduation wrapped up with the instructors stepping forward to perform again, with the crowd cheering them on. As we move into the week ahead, we’ve noticed a shift in the attitude of every student, having now achieved one goal, they are ready to pursue the next. This disciplined mindset makes karate training and teaching the most rewarding experience one could ask for.
We want to congratulate all of you on your hard work and if you haven't had a chance yet, be sure to check out the website or our YouTube channel to see some of the performances you may have missed.
As we move forward over the next few months, please mark your calendars as December 14 will be our next graduation ceremony, and we look forward to your attendance.
Enjoy your achievements and please remember to continue to set goals, achieve growth, and embrace success!
